Off To Find The Moon 🌙
I met someone by chance one day
Who left us far too soon
She called my laughter sunny
I called her eyes the moon
We lived two different lives, we found
One of sunshine, one of dark
And decided after meeting
That we shouldn't be apart
I learned to love the darker nights
that brought us rest and peace
And although she hated sunlit walks
She hated ours the least
It was a time I treasure
But all nights, like days, must end
What I gained under that midnight shine
I lost without my friend
With sunrise came perspective
Her warmth reflected in its glow
I saw her smile everywhere
And knew just where to go
The night will come again, I know
There is no worth in gloom
I am just a simple person
Who is off to find the moon
