Initiation

I spend hours on the couch
thinking over
how to initiate.

Maybe I'll lie on the bed,
naked, and surprise
you with my body.

Maybe I'll pounce
on you and crash
my lips into yours.

I stand by the bedroom,
hands in my pockets,
“So ... do you want to do something?”
