‘stasis’ was meant to portray a feeling of being in between worlds melding together or dimensions ripping apart. As the piece evolved, I became interested in conveying a type of suspension and stillness amidst chaotic forces, yet a simultaneous interaction with them. I would call it a piece about enclosure and removal, retention and emission, harmony and chaos – feelings I closely associate with attraction.
