STEM love

STEM love

Love
is the way you asked him how his week had been,
Despite the months’ worth of pain,
Hiding
In the contours of your face.
Love
Is what keeps us in motion when acted upon
By some negative, cancelling force.
Love
Is the surge of dopamine,
Released by my brain,
When I do something you like
Love
The sum of the sequence of all your admiralities
That diverges-
Love has no limit.
Love,
While true,
Is never black and white,
Never binary,
Completely undefined.
Not quantitive, nor boolean
Love
Is fluid
Crashing over you in waves
The elementary, singular particles of memory embedded in your mind
Love
Is hidden,
Deep within our cells,
Starting at some mitochondrial eve
He told you that he wanted to download his information into you.
He couldn’t “keep jacking it!”
You’d want it too, because you felt
Love,
Something beautiful as a thousand nebulae.
But
You only thought love made you want to transfer information
Without some physical connection
You only thought love
Was just finding a name to match the domain, the home you needed
So
You repel away, 2 negatives, spinning in opposite directions,
Yet not able to stay in orbit
The amoeba, losing to the hare.
You’ve heard about some mysterious gravity-
Something that should make
Someone the center of your universe.
You thought you felt it,
But people tell you that you’ve never fallen
In love.
You split.
Why should love be chemical?
Love
seems so much more philosophical
You’ve always identified with that greek philosopher-
Who?
Plato. Certainly more philia than eros
Still,
Eros soaks the air.

Why are you such an anomaly?
