Sleepy Love Poem
silence,
when you get off
of bed to stir
your morning coffee.
the solemnity of
your shape-shifting
ritual of facing
the mirror-dressing,
undressing, your back
an unmade bed;
your clothes, the crisp
fitted sheets;
your nape, my body
undisturbed, still
on your bed
because of your
silence.
thank you,
