So you’ve discovered you’ve got a black hole where your heart should be.
I decided I would pursue medical transitioning after I walked for a few months along Lake Michigan’s shores at sunrise and sunset.
There you are, sprawled out on a love seat
This is not your world. This is not my world. Nobody’s heard of sex here. Why would they?
a friend has asked me once
who do I find beautiful,
so I said, “those that are natural”,
so I thought, “is it because I myself am not?”,
but under what sky does this matter, when the maples are
giving us their memory-sweet sap sooner than they ever did?
I don't know why I agreed to this. Skinny dipping at night. Jumping into a body of water naked at night. Who do I think I am? Some white girl in a coming-of-age film?
In my cave under the mountain, I sing odes / to Nobody,
This piece represents a part of my journey in coming out as asexual...
